“Ideas 2020” was opened on January 28th in the Rathaus (Town Hall) in Saarbrücken. Charlotte Britz, Mayor of the State Capital of Saarbrücken, and Prof. Dr Volker Linneweber, President of the Saarland University welcomed the guests and Prof. Dr Kurt Mehlhorn, Director at the Max Plack Institute for Informatics gave a Keynote Speech »Warum ich gerne Informatiker bin und auch in Zukunft sein werde.«

There were a series of scientific talks while “Ideas 2020″ was in Saarbrücken. The program was held in cooperation with the State Capital of Saarbrücken.
