The exhibition was opened on November 13th. The greeting was hold by Justus Wehmer, Manager of Carl Zeiss Jena GmbH, and a talk given by Prof. Dr. Malte C. Kaluza, Professor of Physics at the Helmholtz Institute Jena and the Friedrich Schiller University Jena, with the topic „Wissenschaft als Beruf – Begeisterung ein Leben lang“.

On Friday, November  29th the doors of numerous institutes, laboratories, companies and collections were opened for the public.  “Ideas 2020” was part of the Open House Day in Jena.
